"grey hat"
- one who breaks into systems, without permission, for no personal gain and with no malicious intentions, often offering to help fix security holes albeit breaking laws in doing so.
"black hat"
- (cracker) an unethical hacker who intrudes into a computer system to steal or cause damage.
